How to get to Orkney

There are several ways to venture to the beautiful Island of Orkney


The airport has flights to and from Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Shetland as well as all the outer isles of Orkney.

There are two boats providers two and from the Island.

One being Northlink Ferries who on one route sail Aberdeen to kirkwall & shetland, this ferry takes around 5 hours, or they also sail to/from scrabster ferry terminal to stromness and this takes around 1hrs 30mins.

The next boat is Pentland Ferries who sale to/from st Margaret’s hope to gills bay and this boat is around 1hr.
